Home About us
Who we are
Together for young people and the technical trades. We train, support and incubate the projects of young Burundian technicians.
The Association of Young Technicians for Development (AJTD) is a non-profit, non-political civil society organisation founded in 2017 by young Burundian technicians committed to sustainable development through entrepreneurship, technical skills and social solidarity. We believe that young people, properly trained and supported, are the fundamental lever for building an innovative and prosperous Burundi.
Context
In Burundi, most young graduates face unemployment, a lack of career guidance and no concrete opportunities to develop. Yet these young people are full of untapped technical and social talent. AJTD sets out to turn that latent potential into lasting economic and social value.
Our vision
To train a generation of young changemakers who are technically competent, socially responsible, and able to create local solutions to their community's challenges.
